2011年を振り返って/Look back on 2011

さて、日本時間ではすでに新年が明けた模様。フランス時間ではまだあと4時間ほどです。お友達のお家に年越しに行く前にちょっと2011年を振り返り。

2011年は日本にとって、多くの人にとって大変な1年だったと思います。自分自身にとっては、本当に色々なことがあった年でした。あまり悩まずに自然に決めたことばかりだったのですが、よく考えると怒濤の１年でした。何かを深く考えたり自覚したり実感したりしなかったのですが、年末にいくつかまとめて襲ってきました。残念ながらあまりいいことではなく、大層落ち込んでしまいました。そんな私を一生懸命支えてくれた旦那さま。ありがとう。自分の会社の経営だけでも大変だろうに、異国からの嫁を一人抱えて、私を１２０％支える心構えと行動に、これ以上の旦那さまはいないと思いました。本当に感謝。

そして距離は離れてしまっても、一生懸命私のお話を聞いてくれたり、自分のお話も聞かせてくれたり、メールをしてくれたり、スカイプしてくれたり、励ましてくれたり、日本大好きな私に日本の物を沢山送ってくれたり、沢山の皆に支えてもらいました。皆さま、本当にありがとう。

日本を経つ前に行った結婚式で素敵なプレゼントを頂きました。出席者の皆で紡いでくれたパールのネックレス。慣れない地で辛いことがあっても、そのパールの数だけゆみこを支えてる人がいるからそれを忘れないでがんばれ、という素敵すぎるメッセージのこもったネックレス。渡仏してしばらくはあまり考える時間がなかったけど、ちょっと大変だった年末、思い出してはとっても支えられました。

2012年は、弱音ばかり吐いてられないので、気持ちを切り替えてパリ生活の自覚と行動に向けてきちんと前進する年にせねば！もうちょっとがんばります。

2011年、とても幸せな１年でした。
2012年、また幸せな１年にしたいと思います。皆にとって幸せな１年になりますように。

スカイプで忘年会参戦！？/Participate Bonenkai via Skype！？

日本にいる時にいつもお誕生会をしていたメンバーが、皆で一緒にいる時にスカイプしてくれました。嬉しい（*^^*）こういう時参加できないと、自分はパリにいるんだ、ということをしみじみ思ったりします。（いつまで実感ないの！？）

これが無料というのが素晴らしい☆旦那さまと遠距離恋愛してた時にもスカイプ大活躍だったけど、スカイプ万歳！これからもこの方法で日本の会に参加するか（笑）。

皆ありがとう〜♡

Friends that always gathers for birthday skyped me from Japan when they were together. It was great ; )) I realize that I'm in Paris when I can't go to parties ; 0 (I should start realizing soon..)

It's awesome that this is free : D When me and my hubby were doing long distance relationship, we used skype A LOT!! Thank you skype!! Maybe I should start participating in Japan parties like this!?

Restaurant: 「Hugo & Victor」

旦那さまが「Hugo & Victor」からケーキをもらって来てくれました〜（*^^*）。つい最近もマカロンもらったのよね♡比較的新しいペーストリー屋さんらしい。悪くなる前にとついつい食べちゃったけど、すごいカロリーを摂取した気が（＠＠）美味しかったです♪（マカロンは中身は美味しかったけど外のビスケット？はまあまあだったかなあ。）

Hubby brought back some cakes from 「Hugo & Victor」 : D They recently gave as macarons too : ) I think they are quite new pastry. I rushed to eat it before it gets bad but I think I took large amount of calorie.. : 0 It was good = ) (For the macarons, inside was good but outside biscuit? was so so.)

Restaurant: 「Afaria」

今日は日本で知り合ったお友達で同じ時期くらいに渡仏したお友達とご飯〜。彼はお仕事で転勤です。こちらで働いている彼のお友達の日本人女性も合流。日本語でいっぱいお話しようと旦那さまには「今日はお留守番ね」と言ってたのですが、優しいお友達はもう一人がフランス語出来るから大丈夫だよ、ということで旦那さまも参加することに。嬉しそうでした（笑）。外そうとしてごめんね（＾＾ゞ

ワインと食べることが好きなお友達にお店選びはすっかりお任せ。行ったのは15区の「Afaria」というバスク地方のお料理が頂けるレストラン。

バスク地方はフランス語で「Pays Basque」といい、直訳すると「バスク国」。フランスの南西部とスペインの北部両方を含んだ地域のことなんだって。（旦那さまより）

I went for dinner with a friend I met in Japan and who transferred to Paris due to his work around the same timing as I did. His Japanese friend who works in Paris also joined. I told my hubby that I'm going myself cause I thought I want to speak Japanese a lot! Then my kind friend said the other friend can speak French so no problem ; ) So my hubby joined as well. He looked happy : D Sorry I tried to leave you!

My friend who loves wine and eating chose the restaurant = ) We went to a restaurant in 15eme, 「Afaria」. They serve Basque Provinces food.

Basque Provinces in French is 'Pays Basque' which means 'Basque country'. Maybe because it consists South-West of France and North of Spain? Not sure. 

私は前菜にLe Boudin Noir au Pommeをオーダー。いわゆる血で作ったソーセージ。聞いた感じより全然大丈夫（笑）。パテみたいな感じです。それにPomme、りんごのペーストみたいのが間に。ここは特にケーキみたいな見かけなので真っ黒いソーセージが出てくるより美味しく食べられる気がします！？

I ordered 'Le Boudin Noir au Pomme' for appetizer which is sausage made from blood (with apple). When you hear it, it doesn't sound great, but if you eat it, it's like patty. For the dish here, apple paste is in between so it doesn't come out as 'blood sausage' which is better I think : )

メインは子羊とクスクス。お肉柔らかくて美味しかった☆

I took lamb and couscous for main plate. Lamb was tender : )

旦那さまは大きいのでシェアじゃないとオーダー出来ない鴨をメインに。美味しそう！ちょっともらおうと思ってたら気がついた時には完食されてた・・（涙）。

Hubby ordered duck which can only be ordered as shared plate. Looked good! I was going to ask for a piece but by the time I realized, it was gone.. ; 0

デザートはこれまたシェアオーダー＆時間勝負のチョコレートスフレ！

小鍋に入って出て来ました。美味しかったです〜♪

I took Chocolate souffle which also was shared plate and a plate that is important on timing!

It came in a little pot. This was good too♪

Restaurant: 「à côté – le bar à vin-」

ここ２日ばかり旦那さまのオフィスでデスクを借りて自分の事務系のことを黙々とやらせてもらってました。家にいるとどうも進まないので（ーー）。年末でオフィスに残ってる人も少なくて静か。日中も一緒にいれてハッピー☆と旦那さまはニコニコ。私はランチ作らなくてよくてラッキー☆とニコニコ。

会社近くのレストラン「à côté – le bar à vin-」へランチに行きました。こじんまりしたレストランですが、美味しかった（＾＾）旦那さまはお魚のグラタン、私は鴨胸肉とポテトのグリル。お店の方も一生懸命働いてて美味しく食べられました〜♪また来よう〜っと☆

I've been at my hubby's office these 2 days to do some of my paper works. I can't concentrate when I'm at home.. Office was very quiet due to yearend. Hubby looked happy to be with me all day, I was lucky that I didn't have to cook lunch.. ; )

We went to a restaurant close to the office,「à côté – le bar à vin-」. It's a small restaurant but was very good : D Hubby ordered fish gratin, I ordered duck breast grill with potato. Restaurant staff was working very hard too. Hope to come again soon : )

フランス郵便事例・・/Sample Case of Post in France

最近日本からEMS（国際スピード郵便）で荷物が届くはずだったのですが、結構日数が経っても来ない。。番号から追跡してみたら、本日届けたが不在のため持ち帰り、となっている。ポスト覗く。不在通知表も入ってない。ちゃんと届けに来てない可能性５０％、不在通知入れなかった可能性５０％・・！？

届くの知らなかったらどうしてたんでしょうか。。ちなみに自宅にいたはずなのに何も鳴りませんでしたけど・・というパターンは初めてではないのは気のせいでしょうか。。こっちの友達に話したら、「他の人からも同じようなこと聞いたことあるー！」と言われました。。日本の配達サービスは素晴らしいなあと懐かしみました（； ；）

I was supposed to receive a package from Japan recently. It was pretty late so I chased from the package number. It said 'Could not deliver due to away from home'. Though there was no absence note inside my mail box. Didn't deliver 50%, forgot to put the note 50%!?

If I didn't know the package was coming, I wonder what happened.. BTW, I had a case before, that the bell didn't ring (I was home) but had absence note inside the mail box.. I talked to my friend in Paris about this and he told me 'I heard similar case from other people!'.... I missed the delivery service in Japan A LOT today... ; (

クリスマス、エッフェル塔へ！/Climb the Eiffel Tower on Christmas！

パリに来たのになかなか観光地に行かないので、今日はエッフェル塔に上ってみることに☆しかし、、クリスマス、街は静かでしたが、エッフェル塔は大混雑（＞＜）

何とか２階まで上がったものの、その上まで行くのに更に40分寒空の下並ばなくてはいけないということで今回は2階で断念。。でも街が見渡せて面白かったです〜♪

I haven't gone to many touristic places so we decided to climb the Eiffel Tower on Christmas : ) Although the town was quiet... Eiffel Tower was crowded!!

We went to the 2nd floor but needed to go on line for another 40mins to go on top so gave up this time to go on top.. Though we were able to see good view from 2nd floor too : D

静かなクリスマスの街/Very Quiet Christmas in Town

今年のクリスマスは土日に重なってたので、前後に休暇を取った人が多いみたいで街はとっても静か。いつこの時期はも静かみたいだけど、今年はより一層みたい。車で出かけても本当に人も車も少なくて、シャンゼリゼ通りもガラガラ。どこにでも短時間で行けました。でも２５日は日曜と言うこともあってお店はほとんど閉まってた。。

あ、でも今日は虹が見れました♪

Christmas was on the weekend this year so many people were taking vacation around this time. The town was very very quiet. My hubby told me it's pretty quiet every year but even more this year. Very few people and cars on roads even  Champs Elysees. Easy to go everywhere but most of the shops were closed since it was Sunday on 25th..

Though we were able to see rainbow today!

Restaurant: 「Le Baudelaire」

クリスマスの日、朝食をLe Burgundyというホテルの中にあるLe Baudelaireで頂きました。2011年にミシュランで一つ星獲得とのこと☆旦那さまのお誕生日プレゼントの一つとして皆に頂いたものに、またまた私はご相伴させて頂く形で（＾＾ゞ

そんなに大きなホテルじゃなくて中の雰囲気は豪華でしたが、朝食自体はビュッフェ形式で品数少なくてちょっと残念な感じでした〜（； ；）。ディナーがきっと良いのよね。今度はディナーで！クリスマスのデコレーションを見ながら素敵なクリスマス朝食を堪能しました〜♪

We had our Christmas breakfast at Le Baudelaire inside Le Burgundy hotel. They have been awarded  a star at the Michelin red guide 2011 : ) This was one of my hubby's Christmas birthday present so lucky me!

It's not a big hotel and the atmosphere was gorgeous but the breakfast buffet had not much selection which was a little sad ; ) I assume the dinner is good. Hope to come for dinner next time! We enjoyed the breakfast looking at nice Christmas decoration♪

クリスマスフラワー/Christmas Flower

クリスマスはまたまたお花を頂き、更に幸せな気分〜♪
バラにチューリップにヒヤシンスとお花と素敵な香りで溢れたお部屋になりました☆

I got lots of flowers for Christmas too! Roses, tulips and hyacinth. Our home became full of flower and wonderful smell : ))

クリスマスディナー/Christmas Dinner

パリで初めて迎えるクリスマス。義理の両親に我が家に来てもらって一緒にディナーをしました♪またまたたこ焼き器活躍（笑）。今回はチーズやベーコンだけじゃなく、まじめに「たこ」焼きもしました！鰹節に青のりが光ってます！クリスマスに日本食なんて面白いわ〜と喜んでくれました（＾＾）

ツリーの下に沢山置けたプレゼントの光景がまた幸せな気持ちにしてくれました〜☆

First Christmas in Paris : D My parents in law came to our home for dinner. We enjoyed the takoyaki again! Not only cheese and bacon but we did real takoyaki (octopus inside!) this time. Dried bonito (katsuobushi) and ground seaweed (aonori) looks great to me! My parents in law said it was very fun to have Japanese food on Christmas : )

All the presents underneath the Christmas made me happy too♪

食後のデザートセット/Cafe Gourmand

いつも食後のデザート頼むか悩みます。何故なら大きいから。。残したくない・・でもちょっと食べたい。。まあ食べたい気持ちが優先して頼むことが多いのですが（＾＾ゞ

今日素敵なシステムを発見！その名もCafe Gourmand！小さめのデザートにコーヒーまでついてる！好みのデザートが選べれば最高です♡今日は気分にぴったりのタルトタタンも選択肢にあったので最高でした☆コーヒーとセットで普通の大きさのデザート一つだけと同じ値段。これだよ〜、欲しかったの！

このレストランに限ったシステムかと思いきや、ほとんどのカフェにあるよ、と旦那さま。早く教えてよ〜（＞＜）

I always hesitate to order dessert cause generally, it's too big. Though I tend to order cause my desire to eat the dessert is usually bigger..

Though I learned a great system today! Cafe Gourmand! It's a set of little dessert and coffee : D If you can choose the dessert you want, that's super! I was able to choose tarte tatin which was perfect for me today! With the coffee and little dessert, price is about the same as one full dessert. This is what I wanted!

I asked my hubby if it's just a system for this restaurant but he told me it's common in many cafe. I wish I knew earlier!!

クリスマスに牡蠣/Oyster for Christmas

フランスではクリスマスは牡蠣を食べるのも定番らしい。近くのレストランでも大量に販売してました。写真の箱の中身全部牡蠣！皆袋いっぱいとかに買ってます！最後の写真のおばあさんのテーブルにある牡蠣のお皿、8個くらい乗ってる？ぺろりと完食された模様！ランチに牡蠣のプレート頼んでる人がいっぱいいました♪これに白ワイン合わせて皆幸せそうでした〜♡

My hubby told me it's common to eat oyster on Christmas in France. One restaurant close by was selling bunch of oysters! All the boxes of the photo are all oysters! People buy so many oysters! Old lady on the last photo has like 8 on the plate? but no problem finishing the dish! There were many people ordering oyster plate for lunch at the restaurant. With white wine on the side.... too good!!

クリスマスケーキ！/Christmas Cake！

ケーキ屋さんはいつ行っても夢の世界で幸せな気分になりますが、クリスマス時期は格別〜♡今日は義理の両親が我が家に来てクリスマスディナー☆ケーキも揃えなきゃ！ということで自宅の近くにあるGerard Murotでケーキ購入♪どうして全部食べられないのかしら〜・・。少しずつ制覇していきたいと思います！

Patisserie is always a dream world and makes you happy but Christmas season is even more special! My parents in law are coming for Christmas dinner tonight so we got a cake at Gerard Murot. It's close to our place. I wonder why I can't eat all of them... but I guess I'll try them little by little ; )

チーズを食べるための一式/Set to Eat Cheese

今日デパートでプラプラしてたら、何となくフランスっぽいと目に止まった。何かかわいい。。買うか悩んだけど、まだそんなに家でチーズ食べてない。もっと普通に食べるようになったら買おう！

I was wandering around  the department store and found this. I felt it's very France.. Cute.. Should I buy it..? but we don't eat cheese that much at home yet.. I'll get it once we start to eat more cheese!

ちょっと寂しいツリーデコレーション/Little sad Tree Decoration..

クリスマスも近くなり、街にはそこら中にツリーが飾られているのですが、一つ私にとって寂しい事実は、ツリーのデコレーションがリボンだけのものがすごく多い・・。ちょっと安っぽ〜い。。もっとライトとかボールとかの方が綺麗なのに（＞＜）と旦那さまに言ったら、「だって飾り付け綺麗過ぎると取っちゃう人がいるから。。」だって。。寂しい。。

Christmas is close and I see Christmas trees in town everywhere. Though one sad thing about this is that a lot of them are only decorated with ribbon. Looks little cheap.. I said to my hubby that it would look better with balls and lights! Then he told me that there are people who take the decoration if it's too good... That's a little sad...

Restaurant: 「善」/Zen

今日はお友達と大繁盛の和食屋さん、「善」へランチへ。テーブル席はほぼ予約されていて、ランチ時間になると外にも列が。ラーメンや丼もの、定食などがあって、スタッフは皆日本人。私はカツ丼、お友達は鮭の味噌煮定食、お友達のお嬢さんはうな丼を。白米はやっぱり日本が美味しいけど、味は普通に日本の味でした♪貴重☆今度はラーメンを試してみようっと。

I went to a very popular Japanese restaurant 「Zen」with my friend today. Tables were mostly reserved and by lunch time, there was line outside. They had ramen, donburi dishes and set menu which is known as 'teishoku' in Japan. I had 'katsudon', my friend had 'salmon misoni set', her daughter had 'unadon'. Rice is of course better in Japan but the taste is Japanese which I think is precious. I want to try ramen here next time : )

かたつむりパック/Snail Facial Mask

友達が韓国行ったお土産にくれたかたつむりパックをやってみた。韓国で（日本でも？）大流行りらしい。パリに持って来たものの、かたつむりってだけでなんとなーく敬遠してたのですが、他より一回り大きなパッケージがいつもはみ出てて気になったので思い切ってやってみた。普通だった。ちょっと安心。。

I tried the snail facial mask which seems to be big boom in Korea (Japan too?). My friend gave it to me as souvenir. I brought it all the way to Paris but was avoiding it from the impression of 'snail'.. but the package was little bigger than others which always bothered me in the washroom.. Was normal.. Relieved...

かき玉うどん〜♪/Kakitama Udon

日本でも大好きなかき玉うどん♪そういえばこっちでも作ればいいんじゃな〜い（＾＾）とふと思い立って今日のお昼はかき玉うどん。美味しかった♪次回はもうちょっと卵を大きな固まりで作りたい☆こうやって食べたいものは作っていこう〜。

Kakitama udon is one of my favorite dish : ) I realized today I should just make it myself! So I made it for lunch today. It was good : D I want to make the egg in a bigger chunk next time. I should just make what I want to eat : )

パリでカラオケに・・/Karaoke in Paris..

今日は旦那さまのお友達とご飯。たぶんフランスでは珍しい、カラオケがあるレストランでした。好きな人は好きなんだろうな〜。何か常連さんみたいな皆さまがとても上手に歌ってました。でもね、フランス人、全般的にきっとカラオケ好きだと思う。だって結局皆すごい盛り上がってるもん（笑）。私達も歌いました〜（＾＾ゞ

We went for dinner with my hubby's friends. I don't think it's common but it was a restaurant with karaoke! I think some people we saw were regulars. They looked very used to the place and were very good. Though I think French people love karaoke even they look like they are hesitating. Cause once they start, they get so excited : D We sang too!

眼鏡に3D眼鏡/Glasses + 3D Glasses

眼鏡かけてる人ってこうやって3D眼鏡かけるんだね。

I learned how people with glasses wear 3D glasses today.

Restaurant: 「Vita in 稲香」

レストランっていうかタピオカティーのカフェですが（たぶん「Vita in 稲香」って名前）、ここで使ってるもちもちしたタピオカが私好みでした♪内装が何だか機械的でいまいち好きじゃなかったけど（笑）。
今日は美味しいものに恵まれたな〜（＾＾）

It's not really a restaurant but a bubble tea cafe. (I think the cafe name is 「Vita in 稲香」)Texture of tapioca was my taste! Interior decorating was not really my taste though. haha ; )
Today was a good day with good food : D

Restaurant: 「La Vache au Comptoir」

今日は旦那さまと映画へ。映画の前にランチへ。近くのお肉のレストランが混んでたので美味しいのかな、と入ってみたら美味しかった☆そして店員が真面目に働いている！これはこちらでは素晴らしい（笑）♪お肉の焼き直しにも快く対応してくれて美味しく、気持ちよく食べられました（＾＾）
モンパルナス近くの「La Vache au Comptoir」です。

Before going to the movie with my hubby today, we went for lunch at a restaurant close by. It was crowded so we guessed it would be good. It was good! Moreover, staff were nice and hard working! This is quite high point here in France ; ) They nicely accepted to cook the meat again too. It was a good place : )

成長を感じた昼下がり/Feel Growth!

今日は旦那さま友達夫婦のお家でブランチ。（ちなみにこちらで言うブランチはランチだと思うのは私だけだろうか。。だって集合午後１時。。）１年ちょっと前に同じお宅にお邪魔した時は赤ちゃんが産まれて１ヶ月でした。１年でこんなになるのかとちょっと驚いた昼下がり。

We went for brunch at my hubby's friend's house today. (BTW, my understanding of brunch was between breakfast and lunch but the gathering up for brunch here always seems to be lunch. We met around 13pm today. hmmm..) I visited the same place little more than one year ago. The baby was 1 month old at that time. I was surprised to see how baby can grow up in one year!

お鍋会/Nabe with Friends

今日は旦那さまのお友達が遊びに来ました〜。楽しいたこ焼きは今回も大好評♪冬なのでお味噌仕立てのお鍋をしました☆（写真撮るの忘れた・・。）

私的には昆布だしでさっぱりポン酢と柚胡椒で頂くのも大好きだけど、フランスの皆さまはスープの味がしっかりしてる方が好きな模様。

皆にとってお豆腐とか味がついてないとすごい不思議な食べ物なんだって。（味噌仕立てのお鍋ではオッケー。）我々の結婚披露宴、お豆腐屋だったけど（笑）。披露宴をしたところは締めの和牛が一番だった！すっごーーーい美味しかったと皆口を揃えて言ってました（*^^*）

My hubby's friends came over for dinner. Takoyaki was received very well again this time : D We did 'nabe' which is very popular dish in winter in Japan. (Forgot to take photo..) It was miso based soup this day.

Personally, I also like kobu (seaweed) based soup and eat it with ponzu with yuzukoshou. Though looks like it's more favorable with deep taste for French people : )

They told me tofu is actually little strange food for them when there is no taste. (With miso soup, it was ok.) Our wedding party was at tofu place! haha. They all said the Japanese beef at the end was the best! at that place. They said it was really really good!!

Restaurant:「北海道」/Hokkaido

行ったお店もこれから記録してみようと思います〜。

今日は「北海道」というラーメン屋さんに行きました。この地区は日本食レストランが集まってるエリア。旦那さまも近くでお仕事があったので一緒にランチ☆

私は醤油ラーメン、旦那さまは鮭の照り焼き定食みたいなのオーダーしてました。ラーメン、悪くなかったです。個人的には麺がもうちょっと縮れてた方が良かったかな〜。餃子は中の具をもうちょっと固めない方がおいしいかも。旦那さまは美味しいって食べてた。

I went to a ramen place called 'Hokkaido'. This area has many Japanese restaurants. My hubby had a meeting close by so he joined too = )

I ordered Shoyu ramen, hubby ordered samon teriyaki. Ramen was not bad. Personally, I think it would be better with more curly noodle. Gyoza (dumpling) was good. They can make the filling inside softer maybe. My hubby liked it : )
