Restaurant: 「Afaria」

今日は日本で知り合ったお友達で同じ時期くらいに渡仏したお友達とご飯〜。彼はお仕事で転勤です。こちらで働いている彼のお友達の日本人女性も合流。日本語でいっぱいお話しようと旦那さまには「今日はお留守番ね」と言ってたのですが、優しいお友達はもう一人がフランス語出来るから大丈夫だよ、ということで旦那さまも参加することに。嬉しそうでした（笑）。外そうとしてごめんね（＾＾ゞ

ワインと食べることが好きなお友達にお店選びはすっかりお任せ。行ったのは15区の「Afaria」というバスク地方のお料理が頂けるレストラン。

バスク地方はフランス語で「Pays Basque」といい、直訳すると「バスク国」。フランスの南西部とスペインの北部両方を含んだ地域のことなんだって。（旦那さまより）

I went for dinner with a friend I met in Japan and who transferred to Paris due to his work around the same timing as I did. His Japanese friend who works in Paris also joined. I told my hubby that I'm going myself cause I thought I want to speak Japanese a lot! Then my kind friend said the other friend can speak French so no problem ; ) So my hubby joined as well. He looked happy : D Sorry I tried to leave you!

My friend who loves wine and eating chose the restaurant = ) We went to a restaurant in 15eme, 「Afaria」. They serve Basque Provinces food.

Basque Provinces in French is 'Pays Basque' which means 'Basque country'. Maybe because it consists South-West of France and North of Spain? Not sure. 

私は前菜にLe Boudin Noir au Pommeをオーダー。いわゆる血で作ったソーセージ。聞いた感じより全然大丈夫（笑）。パテみたいな感じです。それにPomme、りんごのペーストみたいのが間に。ここは特にケーキみたいな見かけなので真っ黒いソーセージが出てくるより美味しく食べられる気がします！？

I ordered 'Le Boudin Noir au Pomme' for appetizer which is sausage made from blood (with apple). When you hear it, it doesn't sound great, but if you eat it, it's like patty. For the dish here, apple paste is in between so it doesn't come out as 'blood sausage' which is better I think : )

メインは子羊とクスクス。お肉柔らかくて美味しかった☆

I took lamb and couscous for main plate. Lamb was tender : )

旦那さまは大きいのでシェアじゃないとオーダー出来ない鴨をメインに。美味しそう！ちょっともらおうと思ってたら気がついた時には完食されてた・・（涙）。

Hubby ordered duck which can only be ordered as shared plate. Looked good! I was going to ask for a piece but by the time I realized, it was gone.. ; 0

デザートはこれまたシェアオーダー＆時間勝負のチョコレートスフレ！

小鍋に入って出て来ました。美味しかったです〜♪

I took Chocolate souffle which also was shared plate and a plate that is important on timing!

It came in a little pot. This was good too♪
