クリスマスツリー捨て場/Christmas Trees Afterwards..

クリスマスシーズンも終わって、マルシェやお花屋さんで山のように売られていたクリスマスツリー達。どうなるのかというと、こうなります。

アルプスでクリスマス！/Christmas in the Alps！

今年は義理の両親の素敵な計らいでアルプスでクリスマス休暇を過ごしました☆ロッジのようなお家を借りて、旦那さまのお姉さんもシンガポールから来て、まさしくフランスのファミリークリスマス休暇。しかもアルプス！いよいよフランスに住んでるっぽい（笑）。

ロッジはこんな雰囲気。クリスマスデコレーションもされている。

クリスマスショッピング/Christmas Shopping

旦那さまの家族は大きくなってからはクリスマスプレゼント交換的なものはしなかったお家らしいのですが、何となく去年からやってる感じかも（^^;）そんなカルチャー持って来たのが私だったらすみませ〜ん（＞＜）って感じだけど、楽しいので良しとしよう（笑）。

と言いつつ、体調不良事件もあって準備に思いっきり遅れを取っている私達・・。

孫たちと曾孫/Grand Children and Great Grand Child

フランスは日本と違ってクリスマスはファミリーのものです。なのでファミリーで過ごす事が多い。逆にニューイヤーはお友達と過ごすそう。

そんなファミリー集まりの一つとして、旦那さまのお母さん側のお母さんのお家に、私の旦那さまを含めた孫たち集合！お義姉さんもシンガポールから来てた！

クリスマス準備/Christmas is coming...

クリスマス、エッフェル塔へ！/Climb the Eiffel Tower on Christmas！

パリに来たのになかなか観光地に行かないので、今日はエッフェル塔に上ってみることに☆しかし、、クリスマス、街は静かでしたが、エッフェル塔は大混雑（＞＜）

何とか２階まで上がったものの、その上まで行くのに更に40分寒空の下並ばなくてはいけないということで今回は2階で断念。。でも街が見渡せて面白かったです〜♪

I haven't gone to many touristic places so we decided to climb the Eiffel Tower on Christmas : ) Although the town was quiet... Eiffel Tower was crowded!!

We went to the 2nd floor but needed to go on line for another 40mins to go on top so gave up this time to go on top.. Though we were able to see good view from 2nd floor too : D

静かなクリスマスの街/Very Quiet Christmas in Town

今年のクリスマスは土日に重なってたので、前後に休暇を取った人が多いみたいで街はとっても静か。いつこの時期はも静かみたいだけど、今年はより一層みたい。車で出かけても本当に人も車も少なくて、シャンゼリゼ通りもガラガラ。どこにでも短時間で行けました。でも２５日は日曜と言うこともあってお店はほとんど閉まってた。。

あ、でも今日は虹が見れました♪

Christmas was on the weekend this year so many people were taking vacation around this time. The town was very very quiet. My hubby told me it's pretty quiet every year but even more this year. Very few people and cars on roads even  Champs Elysees. Easy to go everywhere but most of the shops were closed since it was Sunday on 25th..

Though we were able to see rainbow today!

Restaurant: 「Le Baudelaire」

クリスマスの日、朝食をLe Burgundyというホテルの中にあるLe Baudelaireで頂きました。2011年にミシュランで一つ星獲得とのこと☆旦那さまのお誕生日プレゼントの一つとして皆に頂いたものに、またまた私はご相伴させて頂く形で（＾＾ゞ

そんなに大きなホテルじゃなくて中の雰囲気は豪華でしたが、朝食自体はビュッフェ形式で品数少なくてちょっと残念な感じでした〜（； ；）。ディナーがきっと良いのよね。今度はディナーで！クリスマスのデコレーションを見ながら素敵なクリスマス朝食を堪能しました〜♪

We had our Christmas breakfast at Le Baudelaire inside Le Burgundy hotel. They have been awarded  a star at the Michelin red guide 2011 : ) This was one of my hubby's Christmas birthday present so lucky me!

It's not a big hotel and the atmosphere was gorgeous but the breakfast buffet had not much selection which was a little sad ; ) I assume the dinner is good. Hope to come for dinner next time! We enjoyed the breakfast looking at nice Christmas decoration♪

クリスマスフラワー/Christmas Flower

クリスマスはまたまたお花を頂き、更に幸せな気分〜♪
バラにチューリップにヒヤシンスとお花と素敵な香りで溢れたお部屋になりました☆

I got lots of flowers for Christmas too! Roses, tulips and hyacinth. Our home became full of flower and wonderful smell : ))

クリスマスディナー/Christmas Dinner

パリで初めて迎えるクリスマス。義理の両親に我が家に来てもらって一緒にディナーをしました♪またまたたこ焼き器活躍（笑）。今回はチーズやベーコンだけじゃなく、まじめに「たこ」焼きもしました！鰹節に青のりが光ってます！クリスマスに日本食なんて面白いわ〜と喜んでくれました（＾＾）

ツリーの下に沢山置けたプレゼントの光景がまた幸せな気持ちにしてくれました〜☆

First Christmas in Paris : D My parents in law came to our home for dinner. We enjoyed the takoyaki again! Not only cheese and bacon but we did real takoyaki (octopus inside!) this time. Dried bonito (katsuobushi) and ground seaweed (aonori) looks great to me! My parents in law said it was very fun to have Japanese food on Christmas : )

All the presents underneath the Christmas made me happy too♪

クリスマスに牡蠣/Oyster for Christmas

フランスではクリスマスは牡蠣を食べるのも定番らしい。近くのレストランでも大量に販売してました。写真の箱の中身全部牡蠣！皆袋いっぱいとかに買ってます！最後の写真のおばあさんのテーブルにある牡蠣のお皿、8個くらい乗ってる？ぺろりと完食された模様！ランチに牡蠣のプレート頼んでる人がいっぱいいました♪これに白ワイン合わせて皆幸せそうでした〜♡

My hubby told me it's common to eat oyster on Christmas in France. One restaurant close by was selling bunch of oysters! All the boxes of the photo are all oysters! People buy so many oysters! Old lady on the last photo has like 8 on the plate? but no problem finishing the dish! There were many people ordering oyster plate for lunch at the restaurant. With white wine on the side.... too good!!

クリスマスケーキ！/Christmas Cake！

ケーキ屋さんはいつ行っても夢の世界で幸せな気分になりますが、クリスマス時期は格別〜♡今日は義理の両親が我が家に来てクリスマスディナー☆ケーキも揃えなきゃ！ということで自宅の近くにあるGerard Murotでケーキ購入♪どうして全部食べられないのかしら〜・・。少しずつ制覇していきたいと思います！

Patisserie is always a dream world and makes you happy but Christmas season is even more special! My parents in law are coming for Christmas dinner tonight so we got a cake at Gerard Murot. It's close to our place. I wonder why I can't eat all of them... but I guess I'll try them little by little ; )

ちょっと寂しいツリーデコレーション/Little sad Tree Decoration..

クリスマスも近くなり、街にはそこら中にツリーが飾られているのですが、一つ私にとって寂しい事実は、ツリーのデコレーションがリボンだけのものがすごく多い・・。ちょっと安っぽ〜い。。もっとライトとかボールとかの方が綺麗なのに（＞＜）と旦那さまに言ったら、「だって飾り付け綺麗過ぎると取っちゃう人がいるから。。」だって。。寂しい。。

Christmas is close and I see Christmas trees in town everywhere. Though one sad thing about this is that a lot of them are only decorated with ribbon. Looks little cheap.. I said to my hubby that it would look better with balls and lights! Then he told me that there are people who take the decoration if it's too good... That's a little sad...

クリスマスツリーのデコレーション、お友達が遊びに来るということで第一ステップとして少々飾ってみました。作：旦那さま

旦那さまの会社カラーのオレンジで☆そしてセールになってたハローキティが１つ（笑）。

Since our friends were visiting, we decided to decorate the tree a little bit.

Decorated with my hubby's company color orange : ) One Hello Kitty that was on sale is mixed : D

リッツで朝食を/Breakfast at Ritz

いつもと同じく父は怒濤の出張スケジュールで突然パリ訪問のお知らせが。会う時間がほぼ無くて朝食を一緒に食べました。特典を活用して今回はゴージャスにリッツに泊まった父。リッツで朝食はとても豪華でした〜♪

クリスマスの飾り付けにもうっとり〜☆

As usual.. dad came to Paris with hectic schedule. Didn't have much time to see him so went to his hotel to eat breakfast together. He used a benefit and stayed at Ritz this time. Breakfast at Ritz was gorgeous!

クリスマスツリーを買う/Buy a Christmas Tree

今日は久々にマルシェへ。（苦手なので何となく避けている・・。でも今日はレモンおまけしてもらってちょっと気分良し。）そしたらクリスマスツリーが売っていた！旦那さまも仕事から駆けつけてくれてツリーゲット！やった〜♪

いい匂いだけど葉っぱが沢山落ちるタイプと、匂いはあまりしないけど葉っぱが落ちないタイプがある。つい片付けを考えてしまい、落ちないタイプを買いました（＾＾ゞ。でも匂い用にいくつか枝もらえた☆デコレーションしたらまたアップしまーす☆

It's been a long time since I went to marche last time. (Still not good going to marche.. but they gave me extra lemon today which made me feel good.) Then I found Christmas tree! My hubby came over from the office to get one! Yeah!

You have a choice between good smell but lots of leaves fall, or doesn't smell that much but not much leaves fall either. Got the one that has less leaves falling ; ) They gave some branches from the one that smells too : D I'll upload some photo after decoration : )

街はそろそろクリスマス/Turning into Christmas Town..

街もデパートもちょこちょこクリスマス。日本のお友達からパリのクリスマスは素敵！と聞いているのでこれからちょこちょこ見れる街が楽しみ〜♪

Things in town and department etc.. are becoming Christmas. My friends in Japan tell me that Christmas decoration in Paris is great so looking forward to it : )
