Restaurant: 「眉山」/Bizan

今日は父と夕食へ。海外出張が多い父は和食や中華が良いということが多く、今日はネットで見つけた「眉山」というお店へ。

またもやですが、父は既に行ったことのあるお店でした(^^;)。私より遥かにパリのお店詳しいです(笑)。2010年くらい?にシェフが変わってからはあまり来てなかったそうですが。

Went to dinner with my dad. My dad often requests Japanese or Chinese since he has many oversea business trips. We went to 「Bizan』which I found on internet.

Again.. dad already knew the place. He knows much more about Paris restaurants than me! Though he said he hasn't been here much after the chef changed around 2010 or so.

アラカルトメニューがほとんどなくて、コースのメニューも決まっていて選択肢がほぼないのがちょっと残念。コースの最後がお鮨なのですが、妊婦の私は食べられないので天ぷらに変えてもらいました。全体的に悪くないし、大体美味しかったけれど、やっぱり内容を考えるとちょっと高いかなあ。。パリで和食だから仕方ないかもだけど。

I wish they had more a la carte menu or more selection on the course menu. Last part of the course is sushi but they changed to tempura for me since I was pregnant. Overall, the taste is not bad and mostly it's good but felt it's bit overpriced. Well, many Japanese food are expensive in Paris, that's true..







お店はたぶん格を大事にしてるのか、ソムリエさんなんかもいるけれど、何だか親しみやすさがなくて何となく取っ付きにくいような。。2階席は最後まで結局私達ともう一組しか入ってませんでした。週末は違うのかな。1階もたぶんあまり人入ってなかった。

父はお酒セレクションが気に入らなかった模様。お店はこだわりがあるのは分かるけれど、ちょっと中途半端なのかプレゼン方向がずれてるのか、何か変わらないともう一度行く気にはならないかも、、まあもちろん個人的感想です。

そういえばここ調味料のお店とか出してるけど、こだわりがあるのは分かるけどここでは買わないな、という感想は同じだったような。。

I felt that the restaurant is prioritizing rank or class. For example, they have sommelier but the atmosphere was bit opposed or doesn't match and difficult to approach. There were only 2 groups on the 2nd floor till the restaurant closed. 1st floor wasn't full at all either. Maybe it's different on weekends.

My dad seemed like he didn't like the alcohol selection. I can feel that they have persistence on their selection but I feel it's unfinished or the presentation direction is bit awkward.. Might not feel like going again unless something changes.. Just to remind but it's personal opinion.

I remembered that they also have Japanese ingredients shop. I felt that they have persistence but I don't have to buy it here. Kind of same feeling maybe..
